I began my teaching career in the 1990s and taught teenagers and adults in Spain and the UK for several years. I also hold the CELTA and DELTA qualifications. My first steps in the publishing world were at Pearson, where I started as an editor. I went on to become a market-based field editor, publisher, publishing manager and editorial director. My commissioning and editorial experience ranges from pre-primary to general adult courses, with an emphasis on secondary and adults. I have recruited and managed teams of editors, commissioning editors and project managers, and developed publishing strategy, staff training programmes and content management initiatives with colleagues from around the world.
Since 2013 I have been a freelance consultant, project manager, content creator and editor. I have also prepared and given training courses to teams of editors, designers and writers. My clients include Oxford University Press, Macmillan, Pearson, International Baccalaureate and Cambridge University Press. I am happy to work as independently as required, and I also enjoy collaborating with other people, whether it's with a team of in-company staff or other freelancers. In my free time, I love walking in the mountains with my friends and family.
